Give yourself a separate identity before you start
A few minutes of setup lets you relax without wondering what traces you are leaving behind. Before opening an account:
- use a separate email address;
- create a new password that you do not use elsewhere;
- choose a username with no real name, birthday, or work details;
- avoid a profile photo that can identify you.

What appears on your statement
To find out which merchant name will appear on your card or bank statement, check the payment page before you pay, or ask official support.
Memberships are different from tokens: a membership renews automatically every month until you cancel it, so cancel any you no longer use. Budgets, auto-recharge and the price snapshot all live in the token guide.
Set it once, then enjoy yourself
After registering, check whether your profile, follows, favourites, comments, and online status are public. Turn off notifications you do not need, especially lock-screen previews and promotional email.

Clean up the account occasionally
Every so often, review saved payment methods, active memberships, signed-in devices and browsers, message history, and the account deletion option. If you no longer use the account, cancel recurring charges before removing payment details.
